• Subang MP Wong Chen has indicated his intention to eventually leave PKR for Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama), but stopped short of saying whether he will vacate his seat before the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat.

  "If I decide to stand in the next general election, it will be as a Bersama candidate," he said, as quoted by the Scoop.

  His comments echoed Rafizi Ramli’s previous remarks, who evaded disciplinary action from PKR despite stating an intent to contest the next general election outside the party.

  Wong was among the eight PKR lawmakers present during an event yesterday, where Rafizi and Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad announced their decision to move to Bersama and vacate their seats.

• PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari believed Pakatan Harapan chief Anwar Ibrahim is bluffing when the latter posed his coalition for a major clash with BN at the polls, or that Parliament may be dissolved early.

  “The fact is, Harapan won’t take the risk to clash with BN in a state or general election. Parliament won’t be dissolved early either, because the government is not confident it can win again,” he said on Facebook last night.

• Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh said Johor Harapan chief Aminolhuda Hassan should not “supersede God” in hoping for Umno to be buried in the next state election.

  “Let the people make the decision. We make an effort and leave it to God,” he said on Facebook last night.

  

  Meanwhile, Akmal said Harapan should also be grateful that it now gets to contest as many seats as it desired.
