Perlis PAS Youth has criticised Bersatu for continuing to deny the alleged involvement of its assemblypersons in efforts to remove former Perlis menteri besar Shukri Ramli from office.
In a statement, its chief, Haziq Asyraf Dun, said the denials contradicted admissions allegedly made by three PAS assemblypersons - Saad Seman (Chuping), Fakhrul Anwar Ismail (Bintong), and Ridzuan Hashim (Guar Sanji) - whose party memberships were later terminated.

Haziq claimed that they had signed statutory declarations alongside Bersatu assemblypersons during a meeting with PAS leaders on Dec 21 last year, which was recorded and minuted, making Bersatu’s continued denial difficult to understand.

Marina controversy
Ex-Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming said he did not believe Johor DAP chairperson Teo Nie Ching had acted unfairly toward Skudai incumbent Marina Ibrahim by suggesting she move to contest in Tiram.
Instead, in a Facebook post last night, he speculated that influential local party figures in Skudai and Iskandar Puteri may have wanted the seat for themselves or their allies.

Marina Ibrahim Ong also believed that Teo’s offer of a statutory body position to Marina was made in good faith and intended to allow her to continue serving the people, noting that similar appointments had previously been given to DAP leaders who left elected office, including Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali and Ean Yong Hian Wah.
Ong added that while he did not seek such a position after vacating the Bangi parliamentary seat, he later accepted an appointment to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority board, following the 2022 general election.
