Bersatu leadership meeting

  • Some 100 Bersatu members gathered at the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, tonight ahead of a supreme council meeting led by president Muhyiddin Yassin.

    Muhyiddin arrived at 8.10pm to cheers of “Hidup Abah!” (Long live our father), “Hidup PN!” (Long live PN), and “Hidup Bersatu!” (Long live Bersatu).

    Also in attendance were top Bersatu leaders, including secretary-general Azmin Ali, as well as vice-presidents Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Radzi Jidin.

    The meeting is expected to discuss issues arising from PAS terminating its political cooperation with Bersatu, while Bersatu has insisted on contesting the upcoming elections using the Perikatan Nasional logo.

Social media

  • Malaysia and the United Kingdom - which both recently began restricting those under 16 years old from accessing social media - were discussing social media regulations for over two years, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil revealed.

    According to Bernama, he said the discussions involved the MCMC and the UK Office of Communications.
