• Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan has filed a RM10 million defamation suit against Bersatu information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz over remarks made during a podcast last year.

  Wan Saiful (above, right) claimed the remarks implied that he secured a Jana Wibawa project because it was awarded to him by Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin.

  The former Bersatu lawmaker, who is now with splinter party Wawasan Negara, said the allegation was false and had tarnished Muhyiddin’s reputation.

  Wan Saiful is currently facing trial over alleged corruption and money laundering involving more than RM5 million in connection with the Jana Wibawa programme.
