A man claiming to represent Changkat Jering representative Mohd Osman Jailu has lodged a police report denying that he has resigned as state assemblyperson in Perak.

The report was lodged at the Shah Alam district police station at 1.30am today.

Osman Jailu In the report, the representative claimed that Mohd Osman (left) has denied submitting a letter of resignation, and further described media reports on this as ‘false and out to confuse the public’.

The report also stated that Mohd Osman is on medical leave. He has not been seen for more than five days.

Shah Alam district police chief Noor Azam Jamaluddin, when contacted, confirmed that the report had been lodged.

In a related development, Mohd Osman is scheduled to hold a press conference at a hotel in Shah Alam later today.
