Parti Keadilan Rakyat's youth wing today lodged a police report against Works Minister S Samy Vellu over his refusal to reveal the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (Smart) concession agreement.

In revealing certain details about the agreement last week, the youth wing had issued a seven day ultimatum to Samy - reveal the agreement or face police investigations.

Samy retorted on March 1 that those who threatened him with a police report could 'go to hell!'.

The report was lodged at the Brickfields district police headquarters yesterday by youth wing vice-chief S Manikavasagam.

"(We want the police to) investigate why the cost of the Smart tunnel was excessive," said Manikavasagam in his police report, which was made available to malaysiakini .

He added in his report that the police must investigate why the all highway concession agreements were hidden from public scrutiny and also why there was no open tender for such projects.

The youth wing, who obtained a copy of the agreement, had posed several probing questions pertaining over several ' irregularities ' found within the agreement.

Neither Samy nor the government had yet to respond.
