Race for Putrajaya
A race is on between Anwar Ibrahim and Muhyiddin Yassin to form the federal government.
Muhyiddin - whose PN coalition came in second in GE15 with 73 seats (79 with GRS) - appeared to have the upper hand at first after Sarawak's GPS pledged its support.
He also had the backing of three Sabah MPs.
However, Muhyiddin still needed support from BN to secure a simple majority.
Anwar - whose Harapan coalition has 82 seats - then swooped in with a surprise meeting with BN at the Seri Pacific Hotel, giving rise to speculation of a unity government.
This prompted GPS to waver - and it decided to back whoever the Agong picks as the prime minister.
As for BN, its 30 MPs decided to remain in the opposition but they would be willing to back a minority government through a confidence and supply agreement.
The Agong does not appear satisfied that either Muhyiddin or Anwar have a majority, and has summoned BN MPs for an audience today (Tuesday, Nov 23) - but the MPs are hoping for a postponement.
Muhyiddin is adamant he has 115 MPs with him - three more than a simple majority.

Perak leads the way
Like Parliament, the Perak state assembly was also hung, with PN winning 26 seats, Harapan 24 and BN 9.
Despite coming in last, Perak Harapan offered caretaker menteri besar Saarani Mohamad another term in office and sealed the deal.
In exchange, Harapan took up 7 out of 10 exco posts.
The deal is likely part of Harapan's attempts to woo BN to support Anwar.
It also has roots in 2020, when BN and Harapan worked together to oust Ahmad Faizal Azumu as menteri besar, and later signed a confidence and supply agreement.
Harapan is also attempting a similar arrangement to help BN form the state government in Pahang, although PN is also doing the same.
