The Federal Court will deliver its decision on Najib Abdul Razak's judicial review of his RM42 million SRC International corruption case.
There are several possible outcomes, including the former premier being acquitted, granted a full retrial, or another round at the Federal Court before a new bench not led by the chief justice.
The panel could also decide to uphold Najib's conviction, leaving him with just a royal pardon as an avenue for early release.

Malacca reshuffle
The rivalry between Malacca Umno's Sulaiman Md Ali and Ab Rauf Yusoh is nearing an end.
Sulaiman has stepped down as Malacca chief minister, and Rauf will be sworn in to replace him today.
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claimed Sulaiman was resigning due to health reasons, but the latter said he was just tired.
While neither side has admitted to anything, Rauf - who is Malacca Umno chief - has been accused of repeatedly undermining Sulaiman.
One notable case is the Melaka Gateway project, which Sulaiman shelved only to be revived by Rauf.
Meanwhile, the reshuffle is also expected to see Pakatan Harapan become part of the state administration.

Unilateral 'harassment'
Johor religious department officers have been accused of harassing a woman and her underage children.
The woman is a plaintiff in a suit - filed in KL - that seeks to nullify unilateral conversion laws in the Federal Territories and seven states including Johor.
The woman herself claimed to be a victim of unilateral conversion although she is a practising Hindu.
A lawyer representing the woman claimed that the Johor religious department officers barged into her house on Wednesday to berate her for being a party in the lawsuit.
The officers also allegedly questioned the woman's three children on whether they had any Islamic upbringing.
