Anwar inherits Najib's shield
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim appeared to have inherited a shield once used to protect Najib Abdul Razak.
From 2016 to 2018, the government had deflected questions in Parliament about the 1MDB and RM2.6 billion donation scandal by citing a rule barring discussions that are in court.
Now, the same sub judice rule is being used to deflect questions about Najib's royal addendum.
This includes a question seeking to clarify Anwar's own remarks about the addendum being sent to the attorney-general and not him.
Anwar made the remarks after the Jan 6 Court of Appeal ruling allowing Najib to initiate a judicial review to compel the government to enforce the addendum - which would allow him to be placed under house arrest.

Keluarga Malaysia dragnet
The MACC is tugging hard at its dragnet on the “Keluarga Malaysia” public relations campaign by the previous Ismail Sabri Yaakob administration.
On Friday, four of Ismail Sabri's ex-aides were nabbed and remanded by graftbusters.
A New Straits Times report citing sources alleged that MACC seized RM100 million in cash from one of the aide's houses.
The MACC, however, stressed that investigations are in the early stages.

Inclusive history or schools
Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong suggested that history lessons in primary school should cover the history of all Malaysian races.
He argued that this could help foster unity at a young age.
The suggestion appeared to hit a nerve with Umno Youth executive council member Wan Zuhir Ghazali.
Zuhir retorted that instead of tweaking history lessons, vernacular schools should be shut down in favour of single-stream schools.
He appeared to ignore the growing popularity of vernacular schools, particularly the Chinese medium, among Malays.
