Giddy-up, DAP – Umno takes the reins
For decades, the “wild horse” galloped across Malaysia’s political plains - untamed, unbridled, and uninterested in saddles. Many, like PAS, tried to throw a lasso around its neck, only to be bucked off with bruised egos and broken alliances.
Now, however, Umno claims it hasn’t just caught the beast - it’s taught the wild bronco to trot in formation. And according to Umno Veterans’ Club secretary-general Mustapha Yaakob, that’s got PAS turning green with envy.
“PAS tried to tame the wild horse that is DAP during their time together as ‘PasDap’ in the same stable. But PAS failed to ride DAP because they liked to ‘enter from the back’, which led to them being kicked by the wild horse. Eventually, PAS withdrew and left the stable.
“Today, that once wild horse, now nearly tame, is with Umno and is becoming even more docile within the BN-Pakatan Harapan stable,” he said.
Therefore, Mustapha argued that PAS' incessant "UmDAP" rhetoric resonates with jealousy and regret over the success of the two coalitions in coming together and riding into Putrajaya.

MACC cracks down on Home Ministry officers
Two Home Ministry officers and a member of the public have been detained to facilitate investigations into a corruption case involving efforts to expedite approvals for citizenship applications.
“The Home Ministry is providing its full cooperation to the MACC in conducting this investigation,” said the MACC.
While the commission did not name the individuals arrested, it is alleged that the third person is a politician. However, Malaysiakini has yet to confirm this.
MACC said the arrests are linked to “Op Outlander”, which previously resulted in the arrest of a civil servant who is believed to have received payments up to RM15,000 for each birth certificate issued through a late registration syndicate.
A doctor, who was also detained in the operation, is suspected of handling birth attestation documents.

Justice dissolves: Footballer’s acid attack unanswered
More than a year has passed since national footballer Faisal Abdul Halim was horrifically disfigured in a brazen acid attack outside a mall - an assault so severe it forced him to endure multiple surgeries.
Yet now, despite the public outcry and gravity of the crime, authorities have closed the case, classifying it as “No Further Action” after failing to apprehend the culprit.
The Selangor FC star winger is disappointed. His legal team is demanding justice - and answers.
Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim has now called on Faisal to drag the police to court, accusing them of public misfeasance.
“Faisal has a strong team of lawyers. They should be able to come up with strong recommendations. But they must be brave and willing to pursue the matter till the end,” he urged.
The attack not only left Faisal scarred but also sent shockwaves through Malaysian football. In the aftermath, Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim was forced to publicly deny swirling allegations linking him to the crime.
“Some are saying that TMJ is the mastermind, but what has it got to do with me?" he had asked, pointing out that the Selangor FC winger is not a threat to the JDT team..
