Rulers to make announcement on judges
The Conference of Rulers will announce key judicial appointments today (Wednesday).
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the announcements will dispel negative perceptions about judicial interference.
Anwar has been under pressure over allegations of government interference in judicial appointments.
This includes claims of attempts to elevate a senior judge who has himself been accused of judicial interference.
The allegations led to a lawyers' march on Monday, which Anwar's daughter Nurul Izzah also joined.

Govt has surprise planned for rakyat
The government has a surprise planned for the rakyat, billed as an "extraordinary tribute".
There are no details about what this surprise might be, beyond the catchphrase "Bersama Malaysiaku" (With my Malaysia).
The carrot offering comes after a particularly rough month for the Anwar administration, starting with the SST brouhaha, followed by the judicial scandal.
The last time the government teased a big announcement, the suspense led to ridicule when all that was announced was a 3 sen reduction in egg prices.

PAS wags finger at Muhyiddin
PAS wants Bersatu to consult it and other PN parties before announcing policies or stances.
PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin singled out coalition chief Muhyiddin Yassin for making announcements without consulting the Islamist party.
Bersatu vice-president Ahmad Faizal Azumu rebutted by saying all PN policy decisions are made by consensus.
Hashim's jab at Muhyiddin comes amid speculation that PAS would prefer the latter's deputy, opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin, in charge of PN instead.
