Japanese crown prince Naruhito lays a wreath at the national monument, which commemorates the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Malaysia's freedom and security, in Kuala Lumpur.

The crown prince was accompanied by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Razali Ibrahim, who is the minister-in-attendance.

This is Naruhito's first visit to Malaysia since he became crown prince in 1991. He arrived in Malaysia on Thursday.
