The complete Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line only became operational at 4pm on July 17 but hundreds of commuters turned up early at the Kajang Stadium MRT station.

The commuters waited at the station's ticket access gate in the hopes of being amongst the first riders of the MRT train.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak launched the MRT line earlier in the day and announced a 50 percent discount on fares until Merdeka Day on Aug 31.
