An air of festivity pervaded Dataran Merdeka in the capital today as thousands gathered there to mark Federal Territories Day.

The event was launched by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong after which various activities were held including traditional games for the public.

A 1,000-strong motorcycle convoy making its way through the venue added to the gaiety of the atmosphere.
