‘1Malaysia’ had been launched, what, for almost one year now and all we hear is ‘1 this’ and ‘1 that’ with nothing concrete or affirmative being done to address actual issues which are still haunting the nation. Issues like religious conversions, economic inequality, social inequality, meritocracy, injustice and many other pressing matters amongst the races in Malaysia.

 

We keep seeing the launching of ‘1Malaysia’ events which are using up to many thousands of the rakyats' money but where is it actually going? So far, we have seen Umno/BN people causing more embarrassment to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak than helping him in his so-called quest for a ‘1Malaysia’.

The infamous Nasir Safar (Najib's political aide), the ‘cow head’ incident, the burning of churches, the racist remarks by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (the famous ‘I am Malay first’), Perkasa, the list goes on.

 

How are these incidents going to help Najib achieve his ‘1Malaysia’? The PM seems to have a mutiny of sorts in his camp to the extent of Muhyiddin's unwise comments. Or is it Najib's instructions to have his people test the water to see what reactions he will get from the other citizens?

Is is highly possible, why not? By just sacrificing a few of his ‘lambs’, he can then plan his next move. In all honesty, I seriously think, Najib is not sincere about anything he has said. In my opinion, all he wants to do is play the ‘1Malaysia’ concept to death and delaying tactics until he can find some way to hold onto power at whatever cost.

What did he say about getting Perak and Selangor back? Well, he succeeded with Perak. Do not underestimate Najib  as he had been bred from the same 'formidable gene pool' as his father Abdul Razak.
