Sex video probe: Why is it taking so long?

your say 'If after more than two months, the police are still investigating the matter, one has to question the competency of the police.'

No progress in 'mailed sex video' probe

Habib RAK: It's so shameful that our police force is not able to solve simple cases. Till now they cannot apprehend the people behind the distribution of the pornographic materials as well as the ‘acid splasher' in Kuala Lumpur.

But when it comes to disrupting peaceful ceramah held by Pakatan Rakyat, they turn up in full force in many battalions and fully equipped with water cannon trucks and tear gas canisters. The police have lost their sense of objective and direction.

They are coming across to us as only interested in doing the bidding for Umno/BN to forcefully prolong their imminent demise. Responsible police officers must think of Malaysia and about their oath to uphold the law, and not hold back the law.

Goliath: If this is a video which was released by someone anonymous, I can accept that investigation is more tedious and may take longer time. However, the video was clearly and publicly linked to three known figures.

If after more than two months, the police are still investigating the matter, one has to question the competency of the police. Or else, there must be some force behind to stop them from releasing the truth.

I read in this morning's newspapers that the bus driver who was caught playing a pornographic video on the bus was charged, found guily and sentenced to a three-year jail term. All this happen in less than a week.

So what makes this different from the three who screen a sex video publicly at a hotel?

Bluemountains: Three persons have admitted screening the sex video in public. The same three persons have also admitted handing over the only copy to the police.

They already have all the evidence and yet they tell us that they are still investigating and that there is no further progress. Don't think the rakyat is bodoh (stupid).

Soap Opra: What is so damn difficult? The Datuk T trio were the ones who exposed the video to the public and they also said they had surrendered the only copy to the police.

Therefore, it is either the Datuk T trio had already made copies or the police in which the original was surrendered to have made more copies.

Selangor police chief Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah, just go and question the Datuk T trio and the police officer who received the original CD. I know I am wasting my breath in explaining this because I am sure the CPO can figure it out himself.

Lim Chong Leong: They have three persons who confessed publicly that they are in possession of the only copy.

We have countless media people who witnessed the screening by the same three persons. One of them also claimed to be the third person in the video. Still the investigations lead to no where, and no arrests have been made.

Rakyat Malaysia: The moment I see this, immediately what crosses my mind is ‘Umno-BN'. Nobody else in this country can do this and get away with it. Only Umno-BN people are good at producing this.

Malaysia can become better than Hollywood in 'blue film' movie production, thanks to Umno-BN production house.

Docs: Sickening. It is better if the police stick a big Umno logo on the back of their uniform with the caption ‘Rakan Umno'.

'PAS-led states should follow Penang's example'

P Dev Anand Pillai: Mohamad Sabu is the kind of leader that Malays need - right to the point and calling a spade a spade. The younger generation may see this as the right time to invoke change through the process of parliamentary democracy, and that is what we all should do.

Look at his views about feudalism, finally we have a Malay man who has the guts to say it clear and simple. If I can vote twice, I will vote where I am and go to the constituency where Mat Sabu is standing and vote again for this brave man.

Poppyie: Abang Mat, you're the rare breed who dares to touch on the datukship issue. Reading between the lines, I believe Bang Mat is trying to highlight those in power who have abused the conferment of datukship for reasons best known to them.

Bang Mat's twice refusal to accept the title shows his moral strength in not allowing the datukship to pollute his social life with crooks, thieves, porn peddlers, fraudsters, child molesters, who somehow manage to decorate themselves with datukships.

ONG: Here is a politician talking and behaving like an NGO. A refreshing change.

Makorang: I have the greatest respect for him but I predict this will be his first and last term as Timbalan Presiden (PAS deputy president) unless he produces stellar performance and stop behaving like a bull in a china shop. Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man lost by only 21 votes.

AnakPinang: PAS' warts and all, this man is a leader unafraid to acknowledge that his party is far from perfect. Thank goodness PAS has someone at the helm who is honest and will work with his party to improve its standing.
