Houses and cars of PAS leaders in Kedah were splashed with paint by unknown assailants in a number of incidents here early this morning.

Apart from splashing paint, there were also 'warning notes' found wrapped around stones, warning the victims to refrain from joining the illegal rally in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

The cars of Pendang MP Dr Hayati Othman and Alor Setar PAS secretary Adnan Saad was splashed with red paint, while PAS Kuala Kedah information chief Ridzuan Abu Bakar and Kuala Kedah PAS Youth committee member Mohd Radi Said's houses were splashed with paint.

Also vandalized was Kubang Rotan state assemblyman Mohd Nasir Mustafa's service centre.

Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak said a police report was lodged and hoped the police would carry out an investigation immediately.

Azizan - who chided the action as an act by 'naughty boys' - said there were also attempts to splash paint on his house in Sungai Limau, Yan, recently.

"Police have seen what has happened and we will let them carry out investigations," he told reporters after chairing a state exco meeting in Alor Setar today.
