Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) corporate communications and public affairs assistant general manager Priscilla Alfred said so far, the plan was running smoothly as planned.
She said water disruption in several rationed areas in Putra Prima, Sepang on Sunday was due to some missing devices, believed to be stolen by petty criminals.
“The missing devices have been replaced by Syabas and the water supply to the areas had been restored. Those petty criminals can be charged under the Water Supply Industry Act 2006 and can face heavy penalty,” she said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
For commercial and industry users who did not receive water supply from Syabas, she said they could apply to purchase water from Syabas on certain terms and conditions.
