Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said PKR executive councillor Rodziah Ismail has not been sacked and that she may back him.

He said he will discuss with the Batu Tiga assemblyperson when she returns from overseas.

"Wait for her to come back, then we will make a decision.

"If she chooses to cooperate, she will be retained (as an exco member)," Khalid said after chairing the Selangor exco meeting today.

He also revealed that he had met Rodziah ( right ) but declined to reveal the details.

No Umno exco members

Khalid also said that there were no plans to appoint new exco members to replace the ones who were sacked.

This includes appointing excos from Umno since it involves the sultan’s consent, he said.

“We have not made a decision since the decision to appoint excos must have the sultan’s consent beforehand.

“Appointing excos from Umno is not in the plan. I will discuss with the other excos and I will also discuss it with the sultan," he said.

'Not Pakatan gov't'

Meanwhile, Khalid said that the Selangor government is not a Pakatan government.

Responding to sacked exco member Teng Chang Khim, he said that in fact Pakatan is not even a registered entity.

He also brushed aside Teng's accusation that Khalid, who is an independent assemblyperson after being sacked from PKR, had "hijacked" the Pakatan state goverment.

Teng had yesterday said that as an independent MB, Khalid had no right to sack Pakatan Rakyat assemblypersons.

Khalid yesterday sacked five PKR and DAP exco members, namely, Elizabeth Wong ( right ), Daroyah Alwi, Teng Chang Khim, V Ganabatirau and Ean Yong Hian Wah.

However, said Khalid, PKR exco Rodziah Ismail has not been sacked as she is currently overseas.

Khalid also said that he will make an announcement on the fate of the state’s council members after the Selangor economic action council meeting tomorrow.

He, however, did not elaborate whether council members from PKR and DAP will be sacked or otherwise.

“We will focus on the state’s development and administration. If the smooth running of the administration does not require a change (of council members), then we will not make a change.

“But if we feel that several changes need to be done, then we will do so,” he said.
