Nanny’s Pavillon arrives at KLIA2
SEPANG – Nanny’s Pavillon from Bandung, Indonesia opens its 14th outlet in KLIA2 today, bringing a new concept dining to the Malaysian food scene.
The outlet in KLIA2 is the first in Malaysia and its branding banked on the character Anella, the Nanny who lives in Provence, France who cooks delicious meals with much love for her family. Because of that, it’s not surprising the menu boasts home-cooked goodness such as Ynez’s Blueberry Cheese Roll Pancake, Heavy Alvin’s Potato, Bryce’s Crazy Chocolate Waffle, Kimberly’s Green Sausage Pasta and Cecile’s Hot Tuna Spaghetti.
As for the interior and décor, Nanny’s Pavillon Porte Bagage is a departure from its sister restaurants in Indonesia, which feature French interiors with lovely gardens.
For KLIA2, Nanny’s Pavillon Porte Bagage which is located at the International Departure on the mezzanine floor (L2M) of the airport, features three dining zones that are related to travelling. There is a lounge area where you will find suitcase-seats which are custom-made to provide maximum comfort for travelers. Then, there’s another section where you will find baggage-cart sofas for the jet-lag travelers to sit back or even take a cat nap before departure time. For travelers seeking a quick bite, they can sit at the central dining zone which has a resemblance to baggage racks. Here, you can also get a close view of vintage suitcases all stacked up as part of the décor. As most travelers are usually in a hurry, this ‘Grab and Go’ zone is most convenient.
“Nanny’s Pavillon Porte Bagage is another addition to our range of concepts we have introduced in Indonesia,” says Kevin Cheung, General Manager and Marketing for Nanny’s Pavillon Indonesia and Malaysia. “We are opening our first outlet at Gateway KLIA2 because we see the potential of KLIA2 not just as an airport terminal for local and international travelers but also as a destination mall for local teenagers and families to indulge in a dynamic shopping and food experience during the weekends. And we also believe our presence at KLIA2 will help build our brand awareness at an international level which is crucial for our future business development.” ‘In Indonesia, our target market are teenagers and young families who are lifestyle oriented and enjoy good food in a good ambience, a place that can deliver to them the ultimate and memorable dining experience. Most of our customers are between the age of 18 and 35,” said Cheung. As the new Malaysian outlet is located in an airport, Nanny’s Pavillon Porte Bagage is targeting business and leisure travelers. “Travelers only need to present their boarding pass to get a free drink upon purchase of any baked rice, pasta or pancake, ‘’ Cheung adds. Apart from busy travelers, Cheung also feels that college and university students who live and study around Cyberjaya are a good target market.
“Today, Gen-Ys love concept dining. They want to dine in a place which has character and is different from an ordinary looking restaurant with just tables and chairs.’’
As a restaurant that serves a fusion of French and American food, such as gourmet pancakes and pasta, Nanny’s offerings are a great food option to have in an airport. Another appealing factor is that you get to be served by Nanny’s waitresses dressed in traditional French maid costumes! With French hospitality at its helm, you can expect a warm and cosy dining experience, not forgetting the undivided attention that stays true to Nanny’s motto of: ‘When You’re Here, You’re Family.’
