Szechuan Food Festival
Dragon-i Group of Restaurants is well-known for the originality and creativity of traditional cuisine in Malaysia. However from July until September, a Szechuan Food Festival event will be held at one of our outlets, the Dragon-i Peking Duck in Pavilion KL. The purpose of this event is to offer a chance for all the food lovers in Malaysia to taste the very original taste of traditional Szechuan dishes.
Dragon-i Group of Restaurants is honored to invite Szechuan Master Chef Zhu Jian Zhong from Szechuan, China to launch our new set menu “The Taste of Szechuan” for 3 months. Master Chef Zhu Jian Zhong currently holds the position of Executive Chef at the No.1 F&B Cruise at the port of Jincheng, Chengdu as well as practical cooking teacher at Chengdu New East Cuisine School. He is also the Technical Director and General Manager of several F&B companies. Moreover, Master Chef Zhu wrote his own monograph “Fresh Water Fish and Foods in Sichuan Cuisine” and has published more than 100 articles and recipes in magazines such as “Sichuan Cuisine”, “East Eat” and “China Chef”.
In this event, Master Chef Zhu Jian Zhong will specially prepare and present to you several famous Szechuan delicacies which include Chilled Spicy Chicken Szechuan-style, Stewed Spicy Chicken with Assorted Vegetables in Casserole, Szechuan “Dan Dan” La Mian in Hot and Sour Soup and several other dishes. He will be bringing along special authentic Szechuan spices and ingredients, as well as a brand new experience of the delicious spiciness of Szechuan cuisine.
Szechuan cuisine is one of the four major cuisines in China. It holds an important position in the cooking history of China. The saying goes, “Eat in China, Best Taste in Szechuan”. Szechuan cuisine is well-known for the fresh strong flavors and spiciness of its dishes that most customers cannot resist. The “taste” of the dishes will decide its quality as there are a number of seasoning choices. The main aspects to look into in a dish are color, aroma, taste and shape.
