Bringing Competitive Dancesport to the Local Community

Latin Dance Enthusiasts, there’s a hot dance event in town! Expect to be thoroughly entertained by Top Local and International Latin and Ballroom Performers in the Inaugural National Competition Event hosted by Kuala Lumpur Dancesport Association (KLDSA).

Held on the 23 rd April 2016 at Bukit Jalil Golf Club, the 1 st KLDSA Malaysia Open Dancesport features 7 time Malaysian Undefeated Latin Champions Chua Zjen Fong and Evon Chong, as well Top International Performers from China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore.

One of the aims of this event is to increase local attention to the world of Competitive Dancesport. Contrary to popular belief, elite Competitive Latin and Ballroom Dancers undergo rigorous training similar to those of Sports athletes in order to achieve a high level of energy expenditure to perform movements requirement strength, agility, fitness and grace. Being an open event, all members of the public are welcome to purchase tickets to spectate a full day of Latin and Ballroom events by over 120 dance participants ranging from kids to adults and seniors.

Day Event Tickets are available at RM50 per pax and run between 11am-5pm, and if you don’t want to miss out on the top performance acts, you can purchase Night Event Tickets for RM150 (2 nd Row Table seats) and RM200 (1 st Row Table Seats) respectively. The Night Event runs from 6pm to 10.30pm and comes with a Full Course Dinner provided by Tai Thong Restaurant.
