Implications of Budget 2017, GST and the Companies Act on Businesses in Malaysia

The recently unveiled Budget 2017 is set to affect large and small businesses throughout the country. The implications of this budget must be considered together with the impact that GST has had on businesses since its implementation in April 2015. The incoming Companies Act 2016 will also contribute to the way in which businesses are set up and run by large corporations, the retail sector, and small and medium-size industries. With this in mind, the Bar Council is organising an event to provide the business, corporate and legal communities with consolidated insights about the tax, legal and economic implications of running profitable and legally-compliant businesses in Malaysia.
This event is open for professionals from the corporate sector and retail industry, owners and operators of small and medium-size businesses, in-house counsels, lawyers, accountants, and tax consultants.
