While proptech (short for property technology) has been a focus of the real estate industry in the past decade, the progress and penetration of proptech in Malaysia had been rather limited. The emergence of property-listing platforms in the early 2000s arguably marked the advent of proptech in Malaysia. But the real estate industry in Malaysia remains relatively traditional, and its online marketing methods still rather rudimentary.
The industry is in for a game-changing proptech disruption! Introducing NextSix, a comprehensive platform that links property buyers/tenants directly to professional agents through a function called “GPS Your Agent”.
The app, developed by homegrown proptech company The Next Six Sdn Bhd, is set to revolutionise the property searching experience with its GPS-driven search technology, the first in the market.

NextSix touts a smarter and more efficient way for potential property buyers/tenants to look for their ideal properties. The platform elevates the property searching experience with its innovative features, including GPS-based search, and 3D Home Tour and video displays attached to its property listings.
The app’s key feature is its GPS-search – users can search and locate both real estate agents and properties in their vicinity. NextSix’s portfolio of properties extends across all niches – residential, commercial, corporate, and even auction. Moreover, its integrated chat and message function facilitates instant seamless communication with professional real estate agents.

Two other exciting features will be added to NextSix in the near future – HomeMall and HomePro. HomeMall is a marketplace for real estate related products, with money-back guarantee best deals. It will be supporting up to 500 merchants that customers can conveniently purchase products from. HomePro will provide real estate related services, connecting users to the services of bankers, lawyers, and interior designers, for example. HomeMall and HomePro are slated to go live in December 2020 and January 2021 respectively.
Indeed, Nextsix will redefine the real estate experience with the integration of a suite of online tools and offline services in one platform to provide a holistic customer-centric solution. It aims to be a one-stop shop that fulfils the needs of both corporate and individual clients.
NextSix, to be officially launched at end-November, is available now for download on Google Play Store and Apple Appstore (if you see NextSix Agent, that’s the backend app used by agents to manage their settings, ads and profiles on NextSix). The NextSix platform already has about 1,500 agents on board, with a total of approximately 5,000 property listings (sale + rent combined).

Currently, about 20% of the property listings have videos, and some 5-10% include a 3D Home Tour. NextSix expects more agents to add these features into their listings with its maiden marketing campaign to mark the app’s soft launch.
The campaign, named You Deserve a Better Deal, will run for six months till May 2021, or till all prizes are redeemed – up for grabs are a total of RM300,000 worth in lucky draw prizes from The Make Over Guys, Majuhome, MK Curtain, Grabpay, Shopee, etc. These are pretty well-known brands in the industry and we have probably used their services and/or bought products from them before. “It’s a privilege for us to be able to team up with these established players, we hope the collaboration will bring more value to the consumers” cited Sai Yien, IT Director of Nextsix in an interview for the launch.
Participation is easy! To qualify for the lucky draw:
- Download Nextsix on the Apple App Store or Google Playstore
- Search for professional property agents or desired properties through the Nextsix app

Each successful participant is guaranteed a prize, with the smallest prize worth RM200. The biggest prize is a RM12,888 Make Over Guys voucher, followed by a RM8,888 Make Over Guy voucher.
