Penang Halal International (PHI) will be hosting the Penang International Halal Expo and Conference 2022 (PIHEC2022) from 1st till the 3rd of July this year. This event will be held at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Pulau Pinang.

This year will be the 11th time Penang Halal International (PHI) organizes the Penang International Halal Expo and Conference. The theme for this event is "Building Resilience and Sustainability Towards Stronger Growth".

PHI chairman, YB Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim bin Hussain said the event is intended to showcase the Halal ecosystem supply chain in Southeast Asia and facilitate the business recovery of the Halal sector in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic through embracing technology and new ideas and innovations.

This annual event will also discuss issues related to post-pandemic readjustments such as digital adoption in Halal, opportunities in the mega FTAs, logistics challenges due to high inflation, global food security and many more.

“The Penang state has all the right ingredients to be the Halal Hub and Gateway not only of the northern region of Malaysia, but also as a central part of Malaysia’s positioning as the epicenter of the Halal supply chain in Southeast Asia” he added.
