Practice Good Habits To Lessen The Risk Of COVID-19

Just as Malaysians were getting used to their daily lives going out and about, the COVID-19 virus made an unwelcome comeback in recent months. The virus spread at an alarming rate as there are no longer state borders and mask mandates to limit the infection.

According to the Ministry Of Health(MOH), at least 84% of Malaysians have received their 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccination. Adding on to that, let’s practise good daily habits that can act as extra layers of protection for us and everyone around us from airborne virus infections.

1) Wear A Face Mask In Public Areas

Put on a face mask whenever you are in public places where other people are around. It is often the first line of defence and is very effective at protecting you against airborne viruses. Remember to wash reusable face masks and throw away disposable face masks responsibly.

2) Avoid Sharing Food And Drinks With Others

While it is always a joy to be able to have a meal with family and friends, make a conscious effort to avoid sharing food or eating food using your hands. If you have to order a shared meal, use a dedicated serving spoon to get the food onto your own bowl or plate.

3) Practice Good Hand Hygiene

When in doubt, just follow the 3-step hand hygiene of washing, drying and sanitising your hands to effectively get rid of germs. Just make sure you wash your hands with soap, dry them with a hand dryer or towel and sanitise your hands to complete the process.

4) Use An Air Purifier To Improve Indoor Air Quality

Deploying an air purifier in the comfort of your own home will help to clean the surrounding indoor air. Clean air does not only mean that it is free from viruses, but it can bring you a host of benefits such as improving sleep quality and even improving brain function. On the other hand, poor air quality can lead to discomfort, distraction and reduced concentration. VIRUSKILLER™ Air Steriliser range includes a personal air steriliser that is compact enough to fit on your desk, to a full-sized air steriliser that can clean a living room.
