Kuala Lumpur, 29 August 2025 – The MET Corporate Towers came alive with patriotic fervour as Triterra Sdn Bhd hosted “Satu Suara, Satu Malaysia”, a Merdeka celebration that united working professionals, public service agencies, and the wider community in a symbolic national sing-along. Over 100 participants joined in singing Negaraku, Sejahtera Malaysia, and other patriotic favourites, a moving display of how voices from all walks of life can rise together as one.

The MET Corporate Towers rang with pride as participants sang beloved Merdeka classics, culminating in a rousing chorus of ‘Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!’ that echoed across the crowd.

The event reflected this year’s Merdeka theme, “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni”, highlighting the government’s priority in safeguarding people’s welfare and upholding unity and prosperity — values echoed in Triterra’s celebration of community, collaboration, and shared purpose.

For Triterra, the developer behind The MET Corporate Towers, the event went beyond merely commemorating Malaysia’s independence. It was a living tribute to the values of unity and connection that define a true community, as tenants, corporates, and public service heroes stood side by side in honour of the nation.

Mr. Christopher Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Triterra, said, “Merdeka is more than a date on the calendar — it is a reminder of who we are as Malaysians. At Triterra, community extends beyond the structures we create; it is the  relationships, values, and shared experiences that bind people together. “Satu Suara, Satu Malaysia” celebrates that spirit by bringing voices from varied backgrounds in unity for our nation we call home. We are proud to contribute not only through our projects, but by fostering the sense of belonging that gives them true meaning.”

Christopher Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Triterra Sdn Bhd, opened the celebration with a powerful reminder: the first three letters of ‘UNITY’ are ‘U’ and ‘I’ — reflecting the spirit of Merdeka that thrives when we stand together.

As part of the programme, Triterra presented mock cheques to honour Malaysia’s public service heroes, including the Sentul District Police Headquarters, St. John Ambulance Malaysia, and the Sri Hartamas Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba). The contributions are intended to fund community programmes at the Sentul District Police Headquarters, provide two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to St. John Ambulance Malaysia, and support the operations of the Sri Hartamas Fire and Rescue Department.

Sentul District Police Headquarters: Christopher Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Triterra Sdn Bhd and Lim Yu Siang, Chief Development Officer of Triterra Sdn Bhd, presented a cheque to the Sentul District Police Headquarters to support community programmes and initiatives.

The gesture underscores Triterra’s appreciation of the critical role these agencies play in safeguarding the nation and its people, serving as a foundation of safety and resilience that supports Malaysia’s progress and embodies the MADANI values of care and protection.

Adding to the festive atmosphere was the Malaysiana Merdeka Bazaar, where local vendors showcased traditional food, artisanal crafts, and cultural highlights, giving attendees and media alike a taste of Malaysia’s heritage.

Building on the success of this Merdeka celebration, Triterra looks forward to continuing initiatives that bring communities together, strengthen civic pride, and celebrate the shared values that define Malaysia.
