A Fresh Take on Gut Health: Nattome, Leader in Natural Digestive Wellness, Unveils New Look

We often say ‘you are what you eat,’ yet rarely pause to consider what that truly means. Every bite we take nourishes not just our energy, but also our overall well-being—with the gut quietly at the center of it all.

According to the World Health Organization’s 2021 report, 1 in 3 people suffer from digestive disorders, with gut-related diseases ranking as the fourth leading cause of hospitalisation in Malaysia.

Amid the growing focus on digestive wellness,
Nattome leads the way as Malaysia’s all-natural remedy for digestive health. What began as founder Jon Lai’s personal battle with acid reflux has grown into a movement to make gut care accessible to all.

“Along the way, I realised just how common digestive issues are, even among young Malaysians. I asked myself if there could be a better solution that was natural, effective, and sustainable for everyday use. Today, Nattome represents more than just a product. It is our vision to make natural digestive health part of every Malaysian household, across all generations.”

Nattome’s Fresh Look

All of Nattome’s products are made from natural ingredients to help naturally heal digestive health.

The brand recently unveiled its refreshed brand identity, modern packaging, and a line-up of flavours designed to make caring for the gut both effective and enjoyable. The launch was marked by endorsements from two champions of health and wellness: YB Syed Saddiq, Member of Parliament and triathlon athlete, and Michelle Yim, the beloved Hong Kong actress whose enduring vitality has made her a role model for healthy living. Their support underscores Nattome’s rise as a trusted, inclusive solution—encouraging Malaysians to see preventive care not as an option, but as a way of life.

Gut Health: The Hidden Key to Energy and Endurance

After completing the Ironman World Championship in France, Syed Saddiq highlighted how crucial gut health is in endurance competitions. “More often than not, it’s not muscle fatigue but stomach issues that force you to stop. For athletes like me, the gut acts as a ‘second engine.’ Having a reliable, natural solution helps me maintain performance while prioritising preventive health. I hope more Malaysians, especially the youth, start paying attention to their gut health,” he shared.

Michelle Yim echoed this sentiment, highlighting the vital role of gut health in daily life. “Maintaining a healthy digestive system is key to sustaining energy, vitality, and overall well-being as you age. A natural, reliable approach allows us to care for our bodies while enjoying life to the fullest,” she shared.

Clinical Insights: From Relief to Immunity

Nattome unveiled the results of its second clinical study on measurable improvements in immunity, led by Associate Professor Dr. Tan Chung Keat of UCSI University.

As the first gut supplement with clinical trial in Malaysia to improve GERD, Nattome unveiled the results of its second clinical study, led by Associate Professor Dr. Tan Chung Keat of UCSI University. Conducted over 12 weeks with 110 participants, the study confirmed that Nattome not only provides relief from reflux, bloating, and overall digestive discomfort, but also delivers measurable improvements in immunity.

The study announced new findings linking Nattome to immunity support:

  • Immunity: sIgA levels increased by 31.7%, while MPO activities were reduced by 39.7%.

  • Antioxidant Status: Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) of participants improved by 45.6%.

  • Oxidative Stress: Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were reduced by 21.1%.

Dr. Tan explained, “Fermented soybean ingredients, such as those used in Nattome, have been shown to support gut and immune health by maintaining a balanced microbiota. They are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, protein, and probiotics that strengthen the body’s natural defences.”
