KUALA LUMPUR, 2 October 2025 – Systech Bhd has announced the appointment of Dato’ Ong Theng Soon as its new Executive Chairman, effective 1 October 2025. The appointment marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing journey of growth, governance, and expansion.

Dato’ Ong, 54, is a highly respected figure in Malaysia’s corporate and legal landscape. Trained as a lawyer, he was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1998 and is also a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln’s Inn, United Kingdom. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Leeds.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Dato’ Ong has built a career that bridges legal practice, corporate advisory, property development, and strategic business management. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tetuan T.S. Ong & Ng, and has also taken on leadership roles across multiple companies, including Vince Properties Sdn Bhd, Teik Heng Jaya Sdn Bhd, and Ableland Group Sdn Bhd. Under his guidance, these ventures have successfully driven large-scale real estate projects with a combined gross development value (GDV) of over RM1 billion.

Beyond the boardroom, Dato’ Ong is recognised for his contributions to public service and community development. He currently serves as a Colonel in the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and has long been active in Lions Clubs International, where he has held several leadership roles. His influence extends into the global branding space as a Board Governor of The World Brand Foundation, an organisation that champions excellence in brand-building worldwide. Over the years, he has also received a series of national and international honours for his leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic initiatives.

The Board of Directors of Systech Bhd expressed confidence that Dato’ Ong’s appointment will bring added depth and perspective to the company’s leadership team.
