Kuala Lumpur, 17 December 2025Yes (by YTL Communications), together with HONOR Malaysia, today announced a joint contribution valued at RM40,000 to enhance the digital capabilities of Hospis Malaysia, one of the nation’s leading providers of community-based palliative care.

As part of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Yes is providing free 5G connectivity with uncapped data and speed, while HONOR is contributing 20 units of the HONOR Pad 10 5G. This enables Hospis Malaysia’s palliative care clinical team - comprising of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and rehabilitation therapists - to remain connected throughout home visits, remote consultations and multidisciplinary care coordination.

Hospis Malaysia’s multidisciplinary teams conduct extensive home visits every month to support patients living with life-limiting illnesses. With reliable 5G connectivity and modern tablet devices, clinicians can coordinate patient updates in real time, make quicker clinical decisions and deliver timely, compassionate care across homes and communities.

“At Yes, we believe that connectivity is a powerful enabler for frontline healthcare,” said Wing K. Lee, Chief Executive Officer of YTL Communications. “By equipping Hospis Malaysia’s teams with free 5G connectivity with uncapped data and speed, we hope to make every home visit smoother, every update faster and every care decision better informed. We are honoured to support Hospis Malaysia’s mission of delivering dignified, patient-centred care to Malaysian families.”

The HONOR Pad 10 5G, selected for this initiative, features a bright display with eye-comfort features, smooth performance, a massive battery capacity and AI writing tools, making it highly suitable for healthcare professionals reviewing patient details, documenting clinical notes on the go and carrying out visits efficiently. The device’s usability and endurance complement Yes’ high-speed 5G connectivity, creating a seamless digital workflow for clinicians in the field.

With the nationwide activation of 5G Advanced by Yes recently, the HONOR Pad 10 5G tablets are slated to receive a firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update in Q1 2026 to fully support this newest pre-6G technology, ensuring future readiness.

“HONOR is proud to support Yes’ CSR initiative to strengthen Hospis Malaysia’s digital capabilities. We hope our devices can meaningfully enhance their day-to-day operations, especially as the doctors, nurses, and their allied health colleagues continue to serve our communities with extraordinary dedication. As a global leader in AI-driven device ecosystems, HONOR is committed to redefining human–device interaction and co-creating a value-sharing digital ecosystem. This initiative reflects that mission and represents a meaningful step forward in improving the efficiency and quality of care,” said Justin Li, President of HONOR South Pacific.

With each device powered by Yes’ nationwide, high performance 5G network, clinicians can:

  • retrieve patient records instantly

  • document updates at the point of care

  • consult colleagues remotely

  • reduce delays caused by inconsistent network coverage

  • minimise unnecessary travel, improving care coordination for patients and families

Dr. Ednin Hamzah, Chief Executive Officer of Hospis Malaysia, expressed deep appreciation for the collaboration: “Palliative care relies on timely communication and coordinated clinical decisions. These tablets will significantly improve our ability to respond to patients’ needs in real time. We are grateful for Yes and HONOR’s support, which allows us to extend the much-needed care to our patients and their families in a dignified manner.”

This partnership reflects Yes’ leadership in community-focused CSR and both organisations shared commitment to uplifting frontliners, strengthening digital access and supporting Malaysia’s broader digital-health aspirations through practical, impactful technology.
