U Mobile, Malaysia's newest 5G network provider, aims to play a catalytic role in Malaysia’s digitalisation journey with its neutral Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP). This initiative is aimed at providing an agnostic environment for enterprises, SMEs, start-ups, academia and public sector agencies to develop and commercialise their 5G-A use cases, proofs-of-concepts and pilot projects. The EIP collaboration framework is anchored on the Develop, Test and Demonstrate approach and to support this initiative, a physical EIP Hub and sandbox is slated to launch in July 2026.
Recognising that effective enterprise innovation requires distinct and specialised ecosystem capabilities, U Mobile has welcomed its first eight partners to EIP, and their commitment reflect shared intent to collaboratively develop and validate 5G-A and AI use cases within the neutral platform. To ensure support spans across a wide range of innovation areas, this first set of partners fall into two categories. The first category is Anchor Partners which include Amazon Web Services, Huawei Malaysia, Palo Alto Networks and Qualcomm. These partners contribute foundational technologies and core capabilities that support the EIP Hub and sandbox environment. Whilst the second group, Technology Partners, bring applied tools and vertical expertise to advance the development and validation of enterprise use cases. Technology Partners include Braintree Technologies, China Mobile International, Meraque Group and ZTE Malaysia.

As the nation’s newest 5G network provider, our latest initiative, Enterprise Innovation Platform is in line with our drive to promote innovation and adoption of 5G-A and AI solutions. Our physical EIP Hub, launching in July 2026, may be powered by next gen 5G infrastructure and our ULTRA5G connectivity but it is really a neutral environment, meaning any enterprise, SME, start-up, academia or public sector agency may leverage our platform, even if they are not our existing customers. Via EIP, they may also tap into the expertise, tools and knowledge of our partners to develop, test and commercialise solutions. The EIP Hub will feature an integrated innovation sandbox with 5G-A, cloud and edge access, IoT device lab, private network zones and live demo zones, and variety of tools like network slicing simulators, digital twin environments and AR/VR toolkits to ensure innovation solutions or test cases are validated and deployable in a real-world environment.

Palo Alto Networks: Provides cybersecurity expertise and Zero Trust architecture guidance to support security validation across network, cloud and application layers.
Qualcomm: Supports technology enablement for solutions leveraging 5G connectivity, edge AI and intelligent devices, including reference demonstrations that support use case development and demonstration.
