Against a backdrop of increasing scrutiny on judicial independence and accountability across Asia, senior judges, policymakers and legal experts are set to gather in Bangkok next month for the World Judicial Integrity Forum (WJIF) 2026. Organised by Malaysia-based International Strategy Institute (ISI) and co-hosted with Rangsit University, the forum will take place on 13 May 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, under the theme “Justice, Reform, and Resilience: Towards a Global Legal Future.”
The event comes as courts across the region face mounting pressure to balance institutional independence with public accountability, while navigating rapid digitalisation and increasingly complex cross-border disputes. ISI is pleased to announce that The Honourable Justice Dato’ Nordin, Judge of the Federal Court of Malaysia, will officiate the forum and deliver the opening keynote address.
Bangkok’s selection as host city underscores its growing role as a regional hub, with the forum expected to draw chief justices, senior judges, court administrators and legal scholars from across Asia. Discussions will focus on strengthening judicial systems, enhancing transparency, and fostering cooperation across jurisdictions with differing legal traditions. As judicial systems confront economic and technological shifts, there is also growing expectation for such forums to move beyond dialogue and generate practical outcomes or policy direction.

The one-day programme will feature a series of panel discussions and keynote sessions, bringing together stakeholders from both the judiciary and the broader legal policy community.
