KUALA LUMPUR, 30 April 2026 – MIMOS International Venture Sdn. Bhd. (MIVSB),  the commercialisation arm of MIMOS Berhad, recently held its Go-To-Market (GTM)  Kick-Off Ceremony, marking a strategic push to accelerate the global  commercialisation and deployment of Malaysian-developed technologies.

The initiative reflects MIMOS’ transition from research and development into  execution, market entry and global scaling of commercially ready innovations, aligned  with national Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) priorities under the Ministry of  Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

The GTM initiative is designed to fast-track the commercialisation of revenue generating technologies with strong global market potential, supporting pilot  deployments across strategic regions, including the Middle East and North Africa  (MENA), and Central Asia, with revenue generation targeted from 2026 onwards.

A key focus of the initiative is the execution of strategic partnerships through  Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and collaboration agreements, enabling selected  technologies to progress into commercial validation, deployment and scale-up phases. MIVSB continues to accelerate MIMOS global technology expansion through  landmark partnerships in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Notably,  our MoU with the Syrdarya Region establishes a foundation for the ‘Central Asia  Green-Tech, Digital and Manufacturing Hub,’ positioning the region as a sustainable  industrial leader by 2030. Furthermore, strategic alliances with Universiti Brunei  Darussalam and DMW International Sdn Bhd significantly strengthen our collaboration  and market presence within their regions respectively.

The collaboration leverages MIVSB’s role as Malaysia’s deep-tech commercialisation  gateway to support industrial diversification into advanced materials and  semiconductor packaging, while enabling AI-driven infrastructure solutions to enhance  manufacturing efficiency, sustainability performance and scalable digital  industrialisation across Central Asia.

MIVSB also exchanged collaboration agreements with ECT Sdn. Bhd., Aspansuri  Corporation Sdn. Bhd., and RS & GIS Global Sdn. Bhd., covering decarbonisation  technology, medical technology, geospatial intelligence and digital innovation  solutions.

The half-day event also featured project briefings and partner presentations  demonstrating the readiness of MIMOS-developed technologies for commercial  deployment, industrial adoption and international scaling.

MIMOS President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr Saat Shukri Embong said, “At MIMOS Berhad, we have long been entrusted as Malaysia’s national applied  research and development centre in Semiconductor, Microelectronics, and ICT,  building strong foundations in intellectual property, talent, and innovation ecosystems. Today, through MIVSB, we are now advancing the next phase by translating these  capabilities into commercial outcomes at scale, and strengthening Malaysia’s position  as a global technology partner through structured Go-To-Market execution.”

Mohamad Azriani Abd Aziz, MIVSB Managing Director, outlined the strategic roadmap and global deployment strategy designed to turn local innovations into real-world impact during the MIVSB GTM Kick-Off Ceremony.

MIVSB Managing Director, Mohamad Azriani Abd Aziz said, “The Go-To-Market  initiative reflects MIVSB’s mandate to accelerate the commercialisation of MIMOS developed technologies into scalable global solutions. We are bridging innovation with  execution by advancing ready technologies into the market through structured  commercial pathways, strategic partnerships, and international deployment. This  marks a clear step in positioning Malaysia as a competitive global solutions provider  delivering real, measurable impact.”

The GTM initiative strengthens Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem by translating  research excellence into commercial outcomes, while advancing economic resilience,  technological sovereignty, branding and global competitiveness.

The event also convenes a broad spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from regulators,  investment and development banks, venture capitalists, and industry leaders, in a  unified call to support and accelerate commercialisation efforts on a global scale.

MIVSB is expected to play a pivotal role in driving Malaysia’s STI agenda through  structured commercialisation pathways and the global expansion of Malaysian  technologies.
