The state of Selangor launches its annual Selangor International Business Summit 2026, setting the stage for unparalleled regional trade and investment cooperation and collaboration, yesterday. Scheduled to take place from 14th to 17th October 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), this milestone edition reinforces Selangor’s position as Malaysia's undisputed economic powerhouse.
Anchored firmly in the Rancangan Selangor Kedua (RS-2) blueprint, SIBS 2026 is engineered to catalyse core industries, attract high-value investments, and drive sustainable technological advancement across the region.
YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Council for Investment, Trade & Mobility said "Everything we are building, negotiating and facilitating through this summit is engineered to achieve one clear, defining goal: Selangor as the ASEAN Model State for Equitable Growth and Quality of Life for All by 2030.
Celebrating a decade of connecting businesses and fostering cross-border expansion, this year's summit is billed as the most ambitious yet. This scale is made possible through the steadfast support of esteemed co-organisers, including Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation) a valued partner since 2019 alongside the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec), Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre Shah Alam (STDCx) and Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS).
The main event from October 14th to 17th will feature a curated suite of concurrent programs designed to showcase cutting-edge investment and trade opportunities:
Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC): A premier platform for regional thought leadership featuring international policymakers and a Special Address by the World Bank.
Selangor Investment Forum (SIF): High-level seminars providing essential insights to shape the multi-sectoral investment ecosystem.
Selangor Investment and Industrial Park Expo (SPARK): Showcasing advanced, investment-ready manufacturing ecosystems.
Selangor AI and Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM@Selangor): Accelerating Selangor’s global position with a dedicated focus on high-tech manufacturing and Integrated Circuit (IC) Design.
Selangor International Care Expo (SICE): Proactively addressing the growing economic potential of the care industry amid demographic shifts.
Selangor Techsphere Summit (STS): Highlighting frontier developments in enterprise digitalization and smart city applications.
Selangor Career Outreach Talent Expo (SCOUT): Aligning human capital development by connecting and upskilling local talent to meet industry demand.
In addition, the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia will also be hosting the third edition of the EU-Malaysia Business Day on 13 October 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Conference Center, in conjunction with the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS). This annual Flagship annual event, previously held successfully in Sarawak and Penang, will this year focus on Selangor. Organised in close collaboration with the Selangor State Government, Invest Selangor and EUROCHAM Malaysia, the EU-Malaysia Business Day under the theme “Bridging InnovationPowering Progress” aims to advance business ties and further unlock investment opportunities involving the substantial EU business presence in Malaysia. With over 550 EU companies operating in Selangor, generating a total annual revenue of over MYR 51 billion, the event will highlight high-growth and high-value sectors such as advanced manufacturing, green transition, digitalisation and logistics.
The event will feature H.E. Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, who will deliver the Keynote Address, alongside senior Malaysian Government representatives. The forum is expected to gather 700 participants, including EU and Malaysian business leaders, European chambers of commerce, Ambassadors from over 15 EU Member States, and Selangor State Government officials.
Industry partners, multinational corporations, and local enterprises are warmly invited to participate this October and position their businesses at the very forefront of ASEAN’s economic growth.
