In industries where precision leaves no room for error, Green Excel Engineering & Consultancy Sdn Bhd has built a strong reputation for creating environments that meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and performance.

Since its establishment in 2016, the company has emerged as a leading cleanroom solutions provider, delivering advanced Cleanroom Architecture Systems capable of achieving up to Class 1 cleanliness. From semiconductors and electric vehicles to pharmaceuticals, data centres, and scientific laboratories, Green Excel’s solutions support some of the world’s most demanding industries with uncompromising quality and reliability.

“A cleanroom is an engineered space that maintains a very low concentration of airborne particulates. It is well-isolated, well-controlled from contamination, and actively cleansed. Such rooms are commonly needed for scientific research and in industrial production for all nanoscale processes, such as semiconductor device manufacturing,” said Founder Yip Pek San.

Backed by fully automated manufacturing facilities in Poland and Malaysia, Green Excel combines innovation, engineering expertise, and global reach to meet the rapidly growing industrial demands across Europe and Asia.

The company specialises in a complete range of cleanroom architectural products, including wall panels, ceiling systems, high-performance doors, and window systems. Green Excel delivers integrated solutions that are trusted by multinational corporations operating in highly controlled environments.

A vision beyond traditional manufacturing
“When I started in 2016, I was supplying products to the industry,” says Yip. “But I quickly saw how fast the semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing sectors were expanding, and I realised that this is where the future is heading.”

That realisation inspired the company’s transformation from a general supplier into a specialist in cleanroom architecture and integrated engineering solutions designed specifically for high-tech manufacturing environments. By focusing on precision-driven cleanroom systems and customised end-to-end solutions, the company positioned itself at the forefront of an industry experiencing rapid technological evolution.

Today, the business operates within a landscape increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), advanced semiconductor technologies, electric vehicles, and next-generation electronics. “Everyone is talking about AI now,” Yip adds. “High-tech manufacturing is clearly the direction the world is moving towards.”

From Wafer Expansion to Nanometre Precision
Over the past decade, the semiconductor industry has evolved at an extraordinary pace, transitioning from larger wafer production to ultra-precise nanometre-level fabrication.

“We’ve moved from eight-inch wafers to advanced nodes at two nanometres. The level of precision required today is completely different,” says Yip. As semiconductor technologies become increasingly sophisticated, the demands placed on manufacturing environments have also intensified, requiring far greater levels of cleanliness, stability, and contamination control.

This transformation has raised expectations not only for chip manufacturers but also for the companies supporting the infrastructure behind these advanced production environments. Cleanrooms today are far from standardised solutions; each facility must be carefully engineered around a client’s specific manufacturing processes, materials, and contamination thresholds. “Our customers’ expectations are becoming increasingly stringent, and as manufacturers, we must keep pace with them,” Yip explains. Leveraging deep technical expertise and customised engineering capabilities, the company develops cleanroom systems tailored to highly specialised requirements. “For semiconductor clients, even trace elements such as boron or certain gases can affect production quality,” she notes. “We design systems to eliminate those risks.”

The same precision-driven approach extends beyond semiconductors into industries such as electric vehicle battery manufacturing, where ultra-dry and tightly controlled environments are critical for both safety and performance. “Different industries have different environmental needs,” says Yip. “Our role is to engineer cleanrooms that meet those exact conditions.”

Building credibility for long-term growth

For the company, participating in the SME100 Awards was never solely about winning recognition or generating immediate business opportunities. Instead, it was viewed as a strategic milestone to measure its progress and benchmark its standing within the industry. The recognition has since strengthened the company’s credibility and enhanced its visibility, particularly in international markets where third-party validation plays an important role in building trust and confidence.

“We wanted to understand where we stand,” says Yip. “It was about challenging ourselves and seeing how far we’ve come. The experience reinforced the company’s commitment to continuous improvement while elevating its profile among industry players, partners, and potential global customers.

Looking ahead, the company is actively preparing for its next phase of expansion, with IPO readiness forming part of its long-term growth strategy. A potential listing within the next two to three years is being considered as the business continues to strengthen its governance, scalability, and operational capabilities. “IPO readiness is important for SMEs,” Yip adds. “It helps build a stronger, more structured, and sustainable organisation for the future.”

Expanding capacity for a growing industry

As demand for high-tech manufacturing accelerates globally, the company is also scaling its capabilities to support the next wave of industrial growth. To meet increasing demand from both domestic and international markets, Green Excel is investing in expanding its production capacity while continuing to enhance automation, efficiency, and product innovation across its operations.

Beyond manufacturing growth, the company remains focused on building long-term sustainability through innovation, technical expertise, and strong customer partnerships. By continuously adapting to changing industry requirements and maintaining strict quality standards, Green Excel aims to strengthen its position as a trusted cleanroom solutions partner in the global high-tech ecosystem. “We believe this industry still has tremendous potential. Our goal is to continue growing together with the industries we serve,” Yip adds.

Every Green Excel product is developed to meet stringent international standards, with certifications from globally recognised bodies such as FM Global, ISO, CE, SIRIM QAS International, and BOMBA Class ‘O’. With deep-rooted industry experience and a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Green Excel continues to expand its capabilities to support the future of cleanroom industries worldwide. Through its dedication to precision engineering and long-term partnerships, the company is shaping cleaner, safer, and more efficient industrial environments for generations to come.
