Today, testing remains the foundation of the business. As an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, CTRM TestLab provides mechanical, chemical and physical testing services that comply with internationally recognised standards. For testing and calibration activities conducted within its accreditation scope, customers receive internationally recognised certification, giving them confidence in the reliability and compliance of the results.

Beyond its technical services, CTRM TestLab has also diversified into media-related solutions, including website development, corporate videos, bulletins, event management, promotional materials and other creative services.

"This diversification not only opened new revenue streams but also strengthened our overall business capabilities," said Taufik. "It also gave us the confidence to participate in government projects through competitive tenders, further accelerating our growth and market presence."

Preparing for a digital future


As industries embrace digital transformation, CTRM TestLab believes the future of testing and calibration will be shaped by digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI).

Traditionally, laboratories have relied heavily on physical processes for testing, calibration and certification. Today, organisations increasingly expect services that are connected, data-driven and accessible remotely. Emerging technologies are enabling faster data analysis, predictive maintenance, automated reporting and more efficient workflows, transforming the way laboratories operate.

One of the company's key initiatives is the NDT Cadet Academy, established in collaboration with Airbus Testia, to develop skilled professionals in non-destructive testing (NDT), calibration and specialised technical services for the aerospace industry.

CTRM TestLab is also working with NAICO Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) to establish a state-of-the-art NDT laboratory, further strengthening Malaysia's technical capabilities and supporting the development of future industry talent.
