George W Bush has decided to rid the world of all evil  especially those perpetrated by bitches who abort babies for fun. Someone please tell CNNs most powerful man in the world that Global Gag Rule or not, abortions will continue.

(The Global Gag Rule which was reimplemented from Jan 22 this year, is basically an anti-abortion policy)

And someone, too, please tell City Hall that almost every human being came into the world through the va...vagina...there Ive said it. What else would you have us call it ? If vagina is vulgar, would we prefer calling it pi-pi or neng-neng ? If not, then what?

City Hall saw fit to ban the play Vagina Monologues by Five Arts Centre, performed in conjunction with International Womens Day.

It is galling that despite having progressed so far into the 21st century, a womans reproductive organ is still seen as a dirty thing , as vulgarity .

Returning to the Gag Rule  abortions are only perpetrated by dirty women who sleep around and enjoy having a curette inserted to their wombs to rip the living foetus off the walls of their uterus. Hence, abortionists and their supporters shall burn in hell for all eternity. Hence, the anti-abortion rule.

What about the victims?

What about victims impregnated by their fathers or brothers? What about rape victims? What about child rape? What about severely deformed foetuses? What about a foetus that has no chance of a decent life in this world  born to die after being chucked out for dogs to eat?

Who will answer for babies who die horrible deaths after being abandoned by mothers and fathers who didnt want them in the first place.

Its not the vagina that is ugly and uncouth. Acts perpetrated against it, acts perpetrated against womanhood  that is where the ugliness and vulgarity lies.

Malaysian women and women around the world celebrated International Womens Day on March 8. And it is with International Womens Day in mind that the writer brings up these issues of anti-abortion laws and the recently banned play, Vagina Monologues .

The 50-year-old International Planned Parenthood Federation, an organisation involved in sexual and reproductive health, and family planning, has lost funding amounting to about US$220 million a year from the United States, following Bushs decision to re-implement the Gag Rule.

In Malaysia, Raj Karim is the IPPF regional director for the East, Southeast Asian and Oceania regions.

The IPPF rejected the Gag Rule as it is considered to be a social injustice. Malaysia will lose about RM200,000 due to the Gag Rule, which may be pittance to the country.

But what about Cambodia which will lose over RM12 million for HIV prevention, adolescent sex education and counselling. Nepal will lose RM2.6 million for family planning services, safe motherhood education and contraceptives.

The insufficient resources brought about by the lack of financing will cause higher number of illegal abortions to be carried out among women in poor countries.

Such mindless hypocrisy and political correctness practised by the Bush regime and Kuala Lumpur City Hall for that matter, only leads to further suffering of women and children.

Vulgar language

The play Vagina Monologues is a story about women. Initially it was Vagina Interviews as it is a collection of interviews with women from around the world about a fundamental but taboo subject, the vagina. Eve Ensler created a collective yet unique testimony of womanhood in all its potency, hilarity and heartbreak.

Men have penises and women have vaginas. There...does that shed some light on why, Vagina Monologues .

Kuala Lumpur City Hall decided last week that it will not issue a licence for a second run of the play.

City Hall has banned it because of vulgar language. Doesnt it rile-you up when it is permissible (perhaps, even encouraged) for national newspapers to indulge in sex when it is deemed necessary (the Anwar Ibrahim saga is one example).

Heres what City Hall had to say about the banned play. City Hall clearly stipulated that theatre productions cannot feature vulgarity be it in speech or illustration.

Asked why the City Hall head honchos didnt watch the play before they made a decision, they said, it was good enough to presume that the acting would be vulgar too.

City Hall is planning to meet theatre production companies to define the ground rules for all productions.

If the vagina is vulgar, then every one of us are the product of unspeakable vulgarity. Mothers should throttle infants the minute they pop out of the despicable organ called vagina.

As long as we have small-minded and insecure men as George W Bush and perhaps women, then women will have to continue to fight for their right to say, to see, to hear, to wear, with everything they have.

The ban has only strengthened womens resolve.

Hari Azizan, the director of Vagina Monologue staged by the Five Arts Centre, said she will fight the ban.

Despite the resistance, it was staged on Friday last week by students from Help College.

The play, this time directed by Helps Shareena Hatta, was a superb presentation. It would not be too far to say that these college students did a job to rival that of Hari Azizan.

The play was funny, enlightening and at least at one point, absolutely heartbreaking. And it was certainly heartening to see Malaysian men fully participating in the production of the play.

But the writer wonders about the moan instructor. Yes, the girls had a moan instructor to coach them on things like the wild party moan, militant bisexual moan, diva moan, twisted toe moan, tortured zen moan and the list goes on.

A pat on the back for all those involved for sticking to their guns. Well done!

Fellows (City hall and Bush)  do yourselves a favour. Try for once in your sordid lives to look beyond the vagina. The writer wishes you have the guts that these college kids had  the world would be a much better place.
