Ariel Sharon a stooge? Yes, and so are George W Bush and Tony Blair. When the American Jewish mega-capitalists tell them to jump, they simply ask, How high? Although Americans may choose to believe that their house of representatives is a freely elected one and that they are the scion of democracy, they are merely the horses pulling the democratic carriage. The reins (of power) are effectively in the hands of other than the American masses. It is in the grips of a selected few of these mega-capitalists.

This is, no doubt, hard to swallow. But the truth is seldom easy to accept.

According to Israeli writer and journalist Israel Shamir who was here in Malaysia to speak at the commemoration of the 1948 Deir Yassin massacre, Bushs and Blairs meek and mousy request for Sharon to stop the military offensive on Palestinians is testimony to the hypocrisy of the two nations  a face to world and another behind closed doors.

(Deir Yassin was a Palestinian village mowed down by Israeli gangs in 1948. The massacre spelt the beginning of the depopulation of more than 750,000 Palestinians).

According to Shamir, the big problem is that the mind behind the might is not democratic. The United States (and United Kingdom) merely pays lip service to the ideals of democracy.

How it all started

The Israeli/Palestine conflict germinated when the Jews, instead of wanting to live together with the Arabs  Muslims and Christians  preferred to do things differently. They were more inclined to keeping to themselves. This is the Jewish mentality, said Shamir, who himself is a Jew. The rule  Jews would not employ Palestinians, and on Jewish land, no Palestinian was to live on it. All non-Jews were considered inferior. The Jews will live away from the Gentiles.

The native Palestinians did not take well to being treated as second-class citizens in their own country.

Serious talks of forming a Jewish nation came about in the 19th century. Jews then lived in almost every part of the world. They wanted a country to call their own. Where would it be? Places such as Uganda, Syria even Argentina were dangled about, said Shamir.

Eventually it was decided that Jews would settle in Palestine. Who decided this? The Jews in the US, UK and Germany, decided so. The Jews then flowed into Palestine en masse .

The Jews wield a strong element of power, as they have for centuries. It was thought to be good to keep them as friends. Leaders of many countries believed that Jewish power should be taken into account. The UK needed the Jews to support their war efforts. And in return the UK would give the Jews what the latter wanted.

The Jews wanted Palestine, and the UK was willing to let them have it. The British would think about the consequences after the war  World War II.

As more and more Jews flooded Palestine, the natives began to notice that the country was being slowly but surely being taken over by the Jews. The Palestinians resisted this. And in retaliation, the British intervened and broke the Palestinian rebellion, between 1936 and 1939.

The Jews came in bigger numbers and the very fabric of the Palestinian society began to break. Despite this, the Palestinians were still willing to work together, said Shamir. For Palestinians it was natural to opt to work together.

But instead, war was declared against the Palestinians and the independent state of Israel was declared in 1948.

Today, Israelis and Palestinians are at war.

The Israeli agenda

According to Shamir, the present Israeli government wants to expel the Palestinians from their land. And those whom they cannot expel they want to contain. The Jews want to create a lower class  of factory workers and labourers. In fact, they already have created this, said Shamir.

It was no better during Ehud Baraks (former prime minister) time. They wanted to keep all Palestinians in jail he said, by the creation of four or five Bantustans . (In the South African Apartheid era, Bantustan describes a semi-autonomous region ruled over by the local blacks). The Israelis were not interested in negotiating further than this.

The Jewish paradigm is to alienate people from their land and culture,said Shamir. The purpose? An alienated people who are uprooted are easier to control. The mega-capitalist Jews around the globe expand their ideology by creating masses of people who have no ties to their land. For example in Russia they fund schools in an attempt to create people who are alienated from their own culture. They start with school-going children, said Shamir.

This is ideological expansionism as opposed to geographical expansionism. The juggernaut ideology of the Jews steamrolls and destroys everything in its path. The Jewish ideology is to subjugate Palestinians and do away with Christianity and Islam.

As for Islam being expansionist, that was a long time ago, said Shamir, and as for Zionism, this is a mutation, of Judaism.

People in power

Speaking of Ariel Sharon in the hierarchy of power, he is hardly even the chief executive officer of the Jewish corporation. He is more likely the chief security officer, said Shamir with the laugh.

The three personalities who are outwardly seen as powerful within Israel are Sharon, Shimon Peres and Parliamentary Speaker Burg Abraham  a possible successor to Peres. Just as many rich influential Jews pull the strings attached to bigwigs in the Western political world, so do they in Israel.

They may not be in complete control, but they are in pretty good control, said Shamir of the capitalists.

The Palestinians are really left friendless as the United States is the only superpower left standing in the world today.

Shamir, however, does not believe that war would spread outside Israel. The United States is 100 percent with Israel in this war, he said. The only countries that could offer help to the Muslims would be Iraq. But then, there has been pressure on Iraq not to interfere, if not they would have come to Palestines aid a long time ago.

Where is god?

The Palestinian woe is a god-sent gift to show the world of the United States undemocratic ways, said Shamir.

When asked where was god while the atrocities continued, Shamir said, God is present, but He is not an obtrusive personality. He does not want to turn us into puppets. He wants us to make up our own minds.

We need to bring democracy to the region. But many people are misinformed about what is happening between the Israelis and Palestinians.

We do not want to throw anyone into the sea. We want to live together in peace, he said.

The United States leadership must be shown the error of its ways; the countries of the world must join together and deny the US such things as military bases, he urged.

Move your funds out of the United States. Stop buying their treasury notes. Stop using the dollar, and US powers will disintegrate in no time.

Jihad via suicide is, however, an unrealistic concept, said Shamir. It is a result of frustration so awful that people are willing to take their own lives. Palestinians are peaceful people to whom suicide is not practically ideal.

And instead of calling for a ceasefire the only answer to the Israeli/Palestinian woe is democracy. Democracy is the solution to the problem, declared Shamir rather simplistically.

The Deir Yassin Massacre

The massacre that took place on April 9, 1948 in the village of Deir Yassin involved the bloody lynching of hundreds of innocent villagers by angry Israeli gangs. The village was targeted for the reason that it lay outside the area assigned by the United Nations to the Jewish state. It was located on high ground in the corridor between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Deir Yassins guilt was that it had strategic value for the Zionists. The massacre also had the purpose of causing panic among the Palestinians in other villages into gathering up their women and daughters and fleeing for their lives, achieving the ethnic-cleansing.

The massacre at Deir Yassin marked the beginnings of the depopulation of more than 400 Arab villages and the exile of more than 750,000 Palestinians. Within a year, Deir Yassin was repopulated with Orthodox Jewish immigrants from Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Its cemetery was bulldozed and its name wiped off the map.

A committee in the United States comprising Muslims, Christians and Jews was formed to build awareness internationally to Remember Deir Yassin. This year commemorations ceremonies were held in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Melbourne, Burlington (Canada), Rochester and Stanford.
