Dear God, spare us your wrath
I learned something new today.
I learned that if God is upset, He will send down His wrath upon us.
Who said so, you ask?
Zahid-lah!
According to Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, God must have been pretty upset with the way DAP has been managing Penang, hence He sent down 15 hours of torrential rain which caused the worst floods in 20 years, killing seven people and evacuating 6,000 people from their homes.
“It must be a sign from God,” Zahid said at the 46th annual delegates’ conference at the Gerakan headquarters in Cheras.
Looking at the personal tragedies Zahid and his family had gone through lately, I suppose he knows what he is talking about.
Just recently I experienced something similar too - but of course my tragedies were nothing close to his lah.
You see, my mum had spent the entire morning cooking something special for lunch - but I chose to skip lunch and meet some friends for pasembor and cendol without informing her. On my way back home that afternoon, God gave me one of my worst diarrhoea ever.
He was upset, all right...

I suppose God does work his magic mysteriously.
Speaking of diarrhoea, I remember the time when Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak got himself diagnosed with E.coli (Escherichia coli) bacteria while making visits to flood-affected areas in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Perak back in 2015.
Why the only one infected?
I guess God must have been upset with the way those states were managed also - if He did not, why else would the states have been flooded, kan?
At the same time, Najib’s E.coli infection must also be caused by God’s wrath - why else would our beloved leader be the only one infected with the dangerous bacteria among thousands of others affected by the flood?

That makes me wonder - why was God upset with our beloved prime minister, eh?
Likewise, I also could not fathom why God was upset with Putrajaya in 2016 when He sent down heavy rain and flash floods?
I mean, what’s God’s beef with Putrajaya?
I am sure Najib knows the answer.
By the way, I suppose both Najib and Zahid also know why we are made to endure a worsening economy with increased living cost and stagnant income.
I suppose that’s God’s way of telling us to get rid of those managing the country, eh?
Message well received, dear God.
