Rama V Fine Thai Cuisine Songkran Festival & Anniversary Fundraising Dinner

Rama V Fine Thai Cuisine celebrated its 20th Anniversary in conjunction with Songkran Festival with a fundraising dinner in aid of the ‘Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory (SCAS&FT) as part of an ongoing commitment to its yearly CSR programme. Owners Andre Shum and Danny Jee hosted this charity event to contribute back to society as an appreciation for all the support given to Rama V these past years.

A final total of RM33,667.20 was raised through bids for wines and handmade crafts by the students of SCAS&FT during the auction as well as kind donations from the evening’s guest. Proceeds were all donated to SCAS&FT in hopes to support its ‘Re-development Programme’ for its focus to rehabilitate and educate the children.

Guests were entertained and amused by one of Malaysia’s hottest young comedian Andrew Netto. Laughter filled the room while signature fine Thai delicacies were served such as: Mieang Kam (traditional thai hors’ doeurve), Yam Som Oo (Pomelo Salad with Prawns), the seasonal Pla Yee Mah Manow Mai Farang (Steamed Cod Fish in Lime Juice & Asparagus Tips) and Khao Nya Ma Moung (Mango with Sticky Rice) just to name a few.

SCAS&FT’s President, Dato’ (Dr.) Lam Peng Chong has expressed gratitude towards Rama V’s hospitality and its efforts in organizing the charity event and looks forward to the company’s continuous support for CSR programmes.

For more information on the Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory (SCAS&FT), visit
