I write to you as a concerned Malaysian who cares for the continuous well-being of this blessed nation of ours - just as, I’m sure, both of you do, too.

Where is the humanity, when starving children & women are left to be:
In boat so rickety, sans food & water for the needy;
Left to fend the mighty sea, to navigate sans direction any;
They’ll perish I’ll guarantee, whose conscience will be guilty?

I refer to social media cacophony and frenzy on the ethnic roots of the Tabung Haji (TH) chairperson, resulting from the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) land purchase and immediate sale.

Good bye, Tok Guru, there shall ne’er be another you;
Integrity personified so true; simplicity in style through and through;
Principled man never rue, esteemed political leader - not crew;
Revered by old and members new, loved by many not few!

Many thanks, Malaysia, for accommodating me here;
Land of tranquillity so dear, with mix of cultures so clear;
All living much together, spurts of dissension we do hear;
Triggered by malicious no-gooders, bent on acquiring power!
