Where is the humanity, when starving children & women are left to be:

In boat so rickety, sans food & water for the needy;

Left to fend the mighty sea, to navigate sans direction any;

They’ll perish I’ll guarantee, whose conscience will be guilty?

Where is feeling humanitarian, where is the concern?

Let ‘em go to oblivion, stick to our decision;

‘Tis not our burden, let ‘em die in desperation;

We’ll sleep well in turn, this mess is, but, a sojourn!

Where is the humanity, when we disregard people so eerily;

They’ve been duped dastardly, by human purveyors so grossly;

Escaping from death in own country, seeking refuge in jeopardy;

To be pushed back to sea, like animals so cruelly!

I plead to those in authority, please reconsider this calamity;

These are humans in misery, asking for help so desperately;

Use your ingenuity, spread resources judiciously;

Avoid leading ‘em to death surely, for none will accept such incongruity!
