The MB hopes for people's continued support to ensure all policies can be implemented.  

The candidate for speaker comes from PKR, while the candidate for deputy from Bersatu, says Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir.

He says efforts are being considered so that Kedah grows in tandem with other states.

MB believes issue of appointing a speaker can be resolved before the state assembly sits next month.

UPDATED 2.27PM | The Kedah MB says the state Harapan gov't is in talks with the opposition to resolve the stalemate. 

MB Mukhriz announces that the state will join Johor in taking the cabinet's lead in cutting salaries. 

Mukhriz says they had indulged in 'too much politics' and neglected to serve the people.

This is to allow improvements to be made, says Kedah MB. 

They will instead be beefed-up to give the best service to the people, says MB.

Kedah menteri besar says the method of granting the provision will be decided later. 

Mukhriz Mahathir's first order of business is to fulfill Harapan's 100 day pledges.

She accuses him of abusing his powers as MB while he says her integrity is in question.
