Hitler was a genius at divide-and-rule to gain total absolute power in German politics. He taught Germans to hate and fear Jews, Slavs, gypsies, and non-Aryans.
The truth is that the ethnic German majority completely dominated the aristocracy, parliament, cabinet, police, judiciary, government bureaucracy, and military in Germany. The truth is the German peoples had no reason to fear non-German minorities in their midst.
Nevertheless, Hitler managed to pervert German thinking through the Nazi Party mass media newspapers and radio broadcasts. Popular Nazi Party slogans and news headlines at the time included:
‘Yahudi binatang kotor, Yahudi penipu dan pehgkhianat, Yahudi minum darah kanak-kanak Kristian, Yahudi bunuh Jerman’ and ‘Yahudi hina Kristian’.
I would therefore like to complain about the level of creativity amongst Umno's spin doctors in Utusan Malaysia which is truly pathetic.
In spite of Umno's best efforts to dumb down the average Malaysian school-goer about important events in world history, I would like to believe that the average Malaysian is more intelligent than what Umno hopes to believe.
I expect ‘DAP Hina Islam’ is just the start of a renewed effort by Utusan Malaysia to win votes for Umno in the Malay-Muslim heartland.
Any Tom, Dick and Harry can predict what headlines are likely to be on offer by Umno Youth, Utusan Malaysia, and Biro Tata Negara in coming years. Here’s a selection:
‘Karpal hina Islam, Guan Eng hina Islam, Catholic Herald hina Islam, Teresa Kok hina Islam, Nik Aziz pengkhianat, Anwar Ibrahim pengkhianat, DAP menipu Melayu, Hindraf samseng' and 'PAS-PKR-DAP ancam Islam dan Melayu’.
After all, Umno has been playing the same old broken record for 50 years, and there is no indication whatsoever that they will change their tune.
Umno's elites have paid themselves billion-dollar commissions from the rakyat 's tax monies and getting rich at everybody else's expense - ordinary Malays, ordinary Chinese, and ordinary Indians.
Despots everywhere always knew it was much easier to win votes by spewing racist epithets, lies, hate-mongering, divide and rule, and demonising ethnic minorities than by instituting much needed reforms in the areas of corruption, money politics, judicial independence, electoral fairness, government waste, and police watchdogs.
On a parting note, I would like to salute the sterling efforts by the careerist supine lap dogs at Utusan Malaysia and Biro Tata Negara.
