Having the highest respect for Zaid Ibrahim for his ethical practices and actions, I totally agree with his comments on the impending change of power to the hands of someone very shady.

I have made similar comments about Najib Abdul Razak in the past, on matters that when he takes power, he will do whatever is necessary to stay in power.

I have also reminded a few of my close friends about the year 1987, when Ops Lallang was launched to nab all the ‘wrong persons’ and thrown under ISA detention. All because of the doing of one person who got away scot-free to enjoy his freedom in the UK.

No one can deny the feeling of tension and despair that year that another 1969 would recur. And I do not deny that it will recur if that person cannot retain his power. This is a fact. Evidence and examples are there for everyone to see.

1. The power grab in Perak. The puppet master is the same person who will soon be your prime minister.

2. The 'perceived' rattling of the the Selangor and Kedah governments. Who can command such an action if not someone who is desperate to show his cronies that he has the power to do so.

Abdullah, on the other hand is already 'on leave' and could not be bothered.

3. The manner in which the case of Altantuya was investigated and then concluded by giving Abdul Razak Baginda and acquittal. He is now living comfortably in London which raises more questions than answers,

4. The two other persons charged with Altantuya's murder were asked to defend themselves against the charge but how could they have acted on their own without any clear directive from someone higher up?

5. Don't you think that the Euro 115 million paid as a 'commission' to Permekar is startlingly high? And why was it paid in the first place?

The people involved can say that it is a ‘sensitive issue’ to discuss due to it's nature as a defence contract. So every time the rakyat 's money is used for some shady deal, we are supposed to just accept it?

How many more examples must we see before we decide to act? I have also made it known many times to my friends that, if I am still able and can afford it, I will send my child overseas for studies.

But never to return because if this is the type of person we choose to have as our leader, then all hope is lost for Malaysia.
