I refer to the Malaysiakini report MACC: 'Elements' show Perak speaker abused his powers .

I must congratulate MACC for its super-efficiency with its sudden re-branding. Yes, keep it up.

All of a sudden, with a new name, it found itself vested with superpowers.

But according to many legal experts, proceedings in a state assembly or Parliament are beyond question by the courts. But it looks like we have a new found MACC which is acting as a watchdog for a state assembly.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong because I am no legal expert. Instead of spending so much energy and time on this grey area of the law, why not the MACC investigate the three assembly persons who jumped ship from Pakatan Rakyat to BN?

I believe they are stronger reasons to investigate those three ‘party-hoppers’.

First and foremost, there were two ‘hoppers’ who were about to face corruption charges in the court. My question is, is it sheer coincidence that these two suddenly became BN supporters?

For two suspects to jump ship, according to my calculation, the probability is 1 out of 900 or 0.11%. BN must be have been very lucky to have struck gold with such a slim probability.

As such, MACC would do the public much good if it investigates whether there was any inducements or promises offered to them to cross over to BN in exchange for their freedom.

There was one who jumped ship and is now travelling in style as reported in the news. Doesn’t this arouse any suspicion on the part of MACC?

What about the recent findings of one high profile politician by Umno. Isn't money politics an outright act of corruption or bribery? Oh, maybe whatever wrong done within the confines of Umno is not the business of MACC. How logical that is.

Those implicated in Umno are the future leaders of our beloved country. If they can do such acts in a political organisation, they can do so when they become our country's leaders. Leopards never change their spots.

What about the millions paid as commission for the purchases of the navy’s submarines? These are the rakyat' s money. With the hefty commission, the beneficiaries are enjoying themselves while the rakyat are in fear of retrenchment and losing their daily meals.

Ahmad Said, wouldn’t you feel it more noble and worthwhile to pursue those real scourges of society and try to recover some of ill-gotten wealth for the rakyat than to spend your resources in trying to investigate a few cows which, by the way, were sacrificed for the benefits of some poor, deserving folks?

The lists of corrupt practices among the ruling parties can go on and on. If a donkey is able to speak or write, it would have a complaint on this issue too.

Ahmad Said, please don't waste public funds. Instead of using your resources to investigate Sivakumar and a few cows and one car, you should go after those that have swallowed millions of the poor rakyat ’s money.

Your action on Sivakumar, to me, defies comprehension and logic.
