I refer to the Malaysiakini report Muhyiddin denies making 'ungrateful' remark .

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is probably a walking cripple. First he put his foot in his mouth and then shot himself in the foot.

The education minister also needs to go back to school to learn some good manners. You don't win any votes by insulting journalists. Accusing them of being wrong and distorting his words is an old trick that does not work anymore.

DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang is right. The undiplomatic minister owes the journalists two apologies. Apologising in public should not be hard for the minister as we saw how quick he was to apologise to Pak Lah.

He had the nerve to say that MCA's Ong Tee Keat did not mind his comments in the Utusan Mingguan paper. Did the MCA mind when the 'keris kisser' waved the keris? The MCA leader is the lapdog of Umno so how will he dare to complain?

The public should not expect Umno to reform. The bad behaviour of the DPM Muhyiddin Yassin is classic Umno ministerial conduct - arrogant and abusive.

His reply that he can't comment on the teaching of maths and science in English because he has not been briefed on the report shows a lack of leadership. By now, he should have an idea of what he would like to see done and should have been able to offer an opinion.

That shows leadership. But all he could say is I have not been briefed. You don't hear Dr Mahathir Mohammed saying that. Instead, no matter what, he, Mahathir, will have an opinion. Ministers who have to rely on briefings show they have no original ideas.

Frankly Najib Razak was a better DPM. At least he didn't shoot his mouth off and blame the journalists. The Chinese media journalists should boycott DPM Muhyiddin until he issues them an unequivocal apology - not like the one he gave Pak Lah.

Why was it necessary for him to add insult to injury by questioning the ability of the Chinese journalists to understand Bahasa Malaysia? Perhaps it is the minister himself who needs to go back to school and learn good manners.

Politicians like to say controversial things to score political points. But when it backfires, they will always fall back on the ruse that they were misquoted. It hasn't worked this time and DPM Muhyiddin Yassin has only himself to blame for his unkind remarks.

He owes the public an apology for bringing the office of DPM into disrepute. He should know that Malaysia is a democracy and people can vote for who they like. Why does he think the Chinese are ungrateful? Did he bribe them that they should be grateful?

This kind of politician is so shallow in his thinking that I honestly believe there is no hope for Umno to change. The best thing for Malaysians to do is not to waste time expecting Umno to change but to kick them out of government.

DPM Muhyiddin Yassin has just shown that Umno politicians can never change. They are a lost cause. I am so disappointed in Muhyiddin Yassin. What example is he setting for our school kids?
