Call for judicial review of Razak Baginda's acquittal

After coming up with the spin about ‘1Malaysia' which only confused everyone, he has yet to show real leadership. Matthias Chang has written a strong warning to him and I don't think the messenger boy of Dr Mahathir Mohammed is saying something we don't know.

The old man is not happy and if he is not happy, watch out. The verbal venom from this political viper has already seen Pak Lah slain and Khairy Jamaluddin in the political casualty ward.

With a lieutenant like Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Najib can't be too sure what will happen in the future. But the man who told his former boss to 'go fly a kite' and then 'shed crocodile tears over the treacherous deed has his own problems.

He called the Chinese ‘ungrateful' and ‘unappreciative' and then blamed the Chinese journalists for mis-reporting him and told them to go take lessons in Bahasa Malaysia. But why does a new Cabinet formed on a reform agenda want to shut out news on Abdul Razak Baginda?

It all sounds fishy. Why is the government so intent on protecting someone who has been charged in a murder case? Why does the government want us to focus on the two killers of Altantuya Shaaribuu when we can't even see their faces?

Why isn't the government investigating the corruption allegations involving Razak Baginda's part in the submarine commissions scandal?

How does the government justify paying RM534.8 million to Razak Baginda's company when he is closely associated with the defence minister who is now the prime minister?

This does not sound right does it? If Umno leaders can be found guilty of corruption because of what their staff or agents have done, then the public needs to know that there was no hanky- panky in the submarine deal.

And that a Mongolian woman was killed makes the whole affair very smelly.

The government must immediately call for a judicial review of the decisions in the Razak Baginda acquittal especially why the prosecution did not even appeal the decision. It is most unusual when you consider that the prosecution always appeals even the smallest of cases against opposition politicians.

The government must quickly call for an independent inquiry into the submarine deal. Look at the accounts of the company and follow the audit trail of the finances of the company.

The way the government has been protecting Razak Baginda, an accused person that has been acquitted by the court only gives rise to more suspicions that it has something to hide.

Najib Razak is doomed to fail because what we are getting is more of the same old style of censoring news and subjects that implicate the government. Why is Razak Baginda taboo?

We need to give the accused protection and get them to speak out publicly without fear or favour. There are still many unanswered questions.

In the OJ Simpson trial, he was acquitted of murdering his wife. But in a civil suit he was found guilty. Eventually justice reached him and he will now spend a long time in jail.

The circumstances around Razak Baginda and the government's hand in censoring news about Altantuya Shaaribuu and the link of her murder to him warrant an independent investigation.

Since the government has refused to investigate, it is now forcing journalists and the news media not to investigate or even mention anything about Razak Baginda. Is this what ‘1Malaysia' is about? Censorship and more censorship?

We must get to the bottom of the Altantuya Shaaribuu case and the public is not convinced she was killed by two policemen who had no motive to collude and jointly kill her like in an operation.

We want the masterminds of the operation, the real big fish and others who are involved to face justice.

But why is the government trying to hinder the media and the public and opposition politicians from doing their job? And perhaps help in catching the big fish?

Why is Razak Baginda getting special treatment in that even a whole government is protecting him?

The real murderers of Altantuya Shaairbuu must be caught and charged because the minions that pulled the trigger and bombed her to pieces were only following orders.

We know the two killers found guilty did the dirty job but who killed Altantuya? We want the government to find the real killer and not stop people talking about it. It is the least Malaysians can do to redeem the good name of their country and bring justice to Altantuya and her family.
