I refer to the Malaysiakini report on MIC leaders laud ISA release, praise PM

The government releases the ISA detainees who should not have been detained under the ISA in the first place, and Samy Vellu and his other MIC leaders praise the prime minister for 'showing concern and humility'.

Someone should catch all those MIC leaders, lock them up in dog cages, and feed them dog food, of course. After a year, the same people who put the MIC leaders in the dog cages will release them.

Will all those MIC leaders feel grateful and praise the people who released them from the cages?

Will all those MIC leaders also describe the act of their release as 'showing concern and humility?' The MIC leaders also made the following statements:-

The MIC is proud and pledges to give him our full and undivided support.

It shows that the government under the leadership of Najib is people-centered and understands the feelings of the people, and this would assist in the government's effort to reach out to the Indians.

This move shows that the government is receptive to the sentiments and views of the Indian community in this country'.

MIC Youth chief T Mohan hoped that Indians would now return en masse to support MIC, which indirectly means support for the BN government that detains people without trial.

Now we know how easy it is to get the support of the MIC leaders. Cage them for a substantial period of time without any necessity or a valid reason, and after their release, they will behave obediently.

However, I am sure the Indian community outside of the MIC leadership do not share the same sentiments as the MIC leaders.

All those MIC leaders do not seem to know that the government who released the ISA detainees is the same government that had earlier locked them up without trial.

Only convicted criminals who are pardoned and released without serving out their full sentence need to feel grateful -- not political and social activists who should not have been detained under the ISA in the first place.

To show gratitude for being released from ISA detention is to acknowledge that the detention was actually justified.
