I refer to the Malaysiakini report Dr M 'blames' editors for self-censorship .

Denying that he imposed censorship on the mainstream media and not understanding why the Malaysian mainstream media practised self-censorship may be an indication that Dr Mahathir Mohamad is getting old besides having been highly hypocritical all his life.

The only reason I can think of why people still give him an audience could be because they feel that giving him an audience is like going to the circus or the zoo for some entertainment.

When he started his Chedet blog about a year ago, I visited the site a few times and observed that all the guest comments congratulated and praised him like he was God's gift to mankind, especially to the Malays.

Nothing wrong with that except that I did not come across even one comment critical of him. Maybe I did not look hard enough.

Reading all those comments made my hair stand on their ends and I stopped visiting his blog for the simple reason that I did not think I can learn anything positive and useful at his blog.

For the purpose of writing this letter I visited hi blog and found the situation unchanged. Only fawning comments and messages are posted.

Contrast all those fawning comments and messages with both positive and adverse comments (including profanities) on him at other blogs, and common sense and logic tell me that even Mahathir practises censorship at his blog.

Go to his daughter Marina Mahthir's blog and even there you will find many uncensored adverse comments on Mahathir despite the fact that many of those adverse comments are actually not relevant to Marina's postings.

Before he ever opens his mouth again on the subject of censorship he may want to talk to his own daughter and learn something realistic and useful on the subject.

He seems not to know what he himself is doing and talking.

He seems not to remember what he has done and talked about previously.

In recent years, the only subject on which he has been very consistent on is that of ‘Pak Lah' and ‘KJ' and that they are ‘bad, bad, bad' and they must ‘go, go, go'.
